A necklace is another lovely way to keep obsidian close to you, resting on the chest at heart height. Long regarded in crystal healing as a stone of protection and grounding, black obsidian quietly keeps you company through the day. Every obsidian necklace in this collection is strung by hand, in my workshop, with stones chosen one at a time.

What does a black obsidian necklace mean?
In crystal healing, black obsidian is seen as a stone of protection and grounding. Worn as a necklace, resting at heart height, it is traditionally described as a quiet shield that helps you feel more settled and more present. Which necklace length should I choose?
The most common lengths run from 40-45 cm (16-18"), sitting at the base of the neck or just below the collarbone, up to 60 cm and over (24"+) for a long rope. The exact length is given on each product page, and my size guide shows where each one falls. If in doubt, drop me a message and I'll point you in the right direction.
Are your necklaces really handmade?
Yes: every necklace is strung by hand in my workshop, with genuine obsidian stones that I select one at a time. That makes each piece one of a kind. You can read my story and how I work on the about page.
How do I look after my obsidian necklace?
A soft cloth is usually all it takes. Avoid salt, harsh products and knocks, and take your necklace off before showering or exercising. All my tips are in the guide to cleaning obsidian.
