Description
The obsidian bead necklace, the protection stone in a full strand, not a single pendant, but a run of black obsidian beads circling the whole neck. A different format from my other necklaces: denser, more present, closer in spirit to my bracelets, but worn higher. Handcrafted from natural stones, this is the one you wear when you want the stone everywhere, not just at one point.
Most obsidian necklaces rest on a single pendant hanging from a fine chain, the stone becomes an isolated point of focus. A bead necklace changes the balance entirely: dozens of obsidian beads, threaded one after the other, make up the whole neckline. The stone is no longer an accent, it is the material of the piece itself, from end to end.
It’s the same principle as my bead bracelets, simply worn elsewhere and at another scale, more beads, a stronger thread, a different drape depending on whether you wear it short and close or longer and loose. In this format, black obsidian takes on a visual presence no pendant can match: it catches the light along its whole length, not just at one point.
In crystal healing, the principle stays the same as for all my obsidian pieces: a stone of protection and grounding, said to hold back outside tension. Worn as a full strand rather than a single pendant, some credit it with a more enveloping action, a stone that surrounds rather than points.

Handcrafted by Camille
Every necklace is strung by hand in my workshop, in France. Threading a full strand is very different from working on a pendant: I have to sort through some sixty beads to keep the calibration even along the whole length, and choose a thread strong enough to carry that weight without ever giving way.
