Description
Tree of life obsidian pendant, a 30 mm black obsidian disc with the tree of life motif in stainless steel. A universal symbol on a grounding stone. Ready to wear on a black nylon cord, 45 cm adjustable. The pendant for those who carry both the meaning of the symbol and the properties of the stone.
The tree of life is one of the oldest symbols shared across cultures, from Celtic art to Norse mythology, from Egyptian symbolism to East Asian traditions. What they share is a common reading: roots that draw from the earth, a trunk that connects the worlds, branches that reach toward the sky. The tree as the axis of the living world.
Setting it on black obsidian adds a layer of intention. Obsidian is a volcanic glass, formed at the boundary between fire and earth. In crystal healing traditions, it is the stone of grounding and protection, the stone that keeps you rooted. A tree without roots does not grow. The combination is not decorative: it is a statement about what growth requires.
The disc is 30 mm in diameter, the tree motif in stainless steel applied to the stone surface. It comes on a black nylon cord, 45 cm, adjustable. To learn more about this stone, read the complete obsidian guide or the article on obsidian, protection and grounding.

I chose obsidian for this piece deliberately. The tree of life is a symbol of growth, of reaching upward, but every tree holds in proportion to how deep its roots go. Black obsidian, a stone of grounding, seemed to me the only honest base for that symbol.
The disc is 30 mm, large enough for the tree motif to be fully legible, small enough to wear every day. See my other obsidian pendants, or the workshop.
“A tree grows as high as it goes deep. That’s why I set it on a grounding stone, and not another.”, Camille
Care: a soft cloth is all it takes; avoid salt, strong knocks and prolonged water, and remove before showering or exercising. All care tips in the cleaning guide.
