A ring is a particular kind of piece. It’s worn openly on the hand, visible, assured, understated but present. Rainbow obsidian, with its shifting blue sheen, does something powerful there: it carries inner certainty without needing to explain itself, showing rather than saying.
Rainbow obsidian owes its sheen to a rather beautiful optical effect: as the volcanic lava cooled, tiny magnetite inclusions set into fine layers within the glass. When light meets those layers it’s scattered, throwing back blue, silver or iridescent reflections. On a ring, where the stone sits in constant light, that sheen comes even more alive, every gesture changes the angle, changes the clarity. In crystal healing, this obsidian is regarded as the most contemplative and inward-looking of the family. It’s described as a mirror stone, one said to help you see what usually stays hidden, reach your intuition, find your way back to clarity. Linked to the third eye chakra, it’s associated with introspection and inner awakening. It keeps the protective grounding of black obsidian too, but turns it inward, towards inner vision.
The stainless steel band is adjustable, so the ring sits comfortably however you wear it. The clean shape lets the stone be the star, no flourishes, no unnecessary detail. Just the natural, mysterious beauty of rainbow obsidian.

Every ring is put together by hand in my studio, in France. I choose the rainbow obsidian beads one at a time, holding each up to the light to check the blue sheen is really there, really alive, and set the steel band precisely, so that the ring arriving at your door is comfortable and has some depth to it.
Rainbow obsidian rings are rare and precious. Every stone asks for real attention, you have to find the exact angle where the blue sheen truly appears. That’s what makes them so special. Care: a soft cloth is enough for both the stone and the steel; stainless steel doesn’t rust. Take the ring off before exercising or showering to make it last. All my tips are in the care guide.
