Every ring is put together by hand in my workshop, in France. I work the sterling silver myself, making a setting that shows off the stone while staying plain and timeless. I choose the black obsidian bead one at a time, looking for that particular smoothness, that deep black that catches the light, and I fit the silver setting precisely, so that the ring arriving at your door is something you’ll want to keep.
Pieces in 925 silver are my favourites to make. There’s something magical in the way a precious metal brings out a raw stone. It’s a conversation between human work and nature, between my hands shaping the metal and a stone born of volcanic fire. Each piece is unique, made one at a time, with attention and respect. Care: clean the obsidian with a soft cloth; sterling silver may darken a little over time (its natural patina). To bring it back, use a soft silver-polishing cloth or a gentle silver cleaner. Don’t use hot water, warm is quite enough. Take the ring off before exercising or showering to make it last. All my tips are in the care guide.
