The obsidian necklace, a stone worn close to the heart

A necklace is another lovely way to keep obsidian with you, resting on the chest at heart height. Known in crystal healing as a stone of protection and grounding, black obsidian keeps quiet company through the day. Every necklace in this collection is strung by hand in my studio, with stones chosen one at a time.

What necklace length should I choose?
The most common lengths run from choker (40 to 45 cm) through princess (45 cm, the most worn) to opera and rope (60 cm and over). The exact length is given on each necklace's product page. Are your necklaces really handmade?
Yes: every necklace is strung by hand in my studio, with genuine obsidian stones I select one at a time. That makes each piece one of a kind. You can read my story and how I work on the about page.
How long does delivery to Australia take?
Your necklace is made to order, so allow 2 to 4 business days in the studio, then 10 to 16 business days in transit to metro Australia and 12 to 20 to regional and remote addresses. It travels as a tracked international parcel, and shipping is free over AU$79. Full details on the delivery & returns page.
How do I care for my obsidian necklace?
A soft cloth is usually all it takes. Steer clear of salt, harsh products and knocks, and take it off before the shower or the gym. All my tips are in the guide to cleaning your obsidian.
What does an obsidian necklace mean?
