Description

The 7-chakra obsidian necklace, seven stones for seven energy centres, strung in a single piece: obsidian for the root, carnelian for the sacral, citrine for the solar plexus, aventurine for the heart, sodalite for the throat, lapis lazuli for the third eye, and amethyst for the crown. Handcrafted in France, it brings together in one necklace what is usually spread across seven individual crystals.

Each of the seven sections groups seven beads of the same stone, 49 beads in total, graduated in colour along the length, so each chakra is clearly readable. The transition from one stone to the next is not blended: every section stands distinct, the way the chakra system itself distinguishes each centre.

Black obsidian anchors the necklace at the base: the root chakra grounds the whole sequence. From there the stones move upward through warm earthy tones (carnelian, citrine), cool greens and blues (aventurine, sodalite, lapis lazuli), and end with the violet of amethyst at the crown. Worn at the neck, the full gradient is visible from above, a visible map of the seven centres.

For everything about the connection between obsidian and the chakra system, my article on obsidian and chakras goes into full detail. The complete obsidian guide covers the stone itself.

Handcrafted by Camille

Every necklace is strung by hand in my workshop, in France. Sourcing seven stones that hold their alignment across 49 beads takes longer than a plain strand: each section has to read clearly, the colours have to flow without a harsh cut, and the obsidian anchor at the base has to feel intentional, not like a leftovers bead.

I wanted a piece that could carry the whole chakra system in a single object, worn at the neck rather than the wrist, where the seven groups have room to unfold in sequence. Learn more in my article on obsidian and chakras, or the story of the workshop.

“At the wrist, the seven chakras close in a circle. At the neck, they open into a line. Two different ways of wearing the same balance.”, Camille

Care: a soft cloth is all it takes; avoid salt, knocks and prolonged water, and take it off before showering or exercising. To choose your length, check the jewellery size guide, and all my care tips are in the cleaning guide.

Here are the correspondences traditionally linked to each stone in the 7-chakra sequence — they belong to traditions and beliefs, to be taken as such.

Root — Obsidian

Muladhara — the foundation. Black obsidian grounds the sequence, connecting it to earth and physical stability.

Sacral — Carnelian

Svadhisthana — orange, warm. Carnelian is traditionally linked to creativity, vitality and emotional flow.

Solar Plexus — Citrine

Manipura — yellow, solar. Citrine is associated with personal will and confidence.

Heart — Aventurine

Anahata — green, the centre of the sequence. Aventurine is linked to openness and emotional balance.

Throat — Sodalite

Vishuddha — blue. Sodalite is associated with clear expression and communication.

Third Eye & Crown — Lapis Lazuli & Amethyst

Ajna & Sahasrara — indigo and violet. Lapis for intuition; amethyst for the crown and spiritual awareness.

Reminder: these correspondences belong to crystal healing, a well-being approach based on traditions and beliefs. They do not constitute a medical claim and never replace the advice of a healthcare professional.

Caring for your obsidian

To keep your piece looking its best, a soft cloth is usually all you need. Avoid salt, harsh products and knocks, and take it off before the shower, the beach, the pool or the gym.

In crystal healing, many people also like to cleanse and charge their stone from time to time, with smoke, under moonlight, or on a quartz cluster.
