Description
The black obsidian anklet, the grounding stone worn right where it makes the most sense, closest to the ground. Obsidian, long known for reconnecting you to the earth, takes on its full meaning here on a piece of jewellery worn barefoot. Handcrafted from natural stones, this is the one you wear all summer as a constant reminder to stay grounded, right where you are.
Black obsidian is a volcanic stone: lava cooled so quickly it never had time to crystallise, giving this dense, natural black glass. In crystal healing, it’s associated with the root chakra, the chakra of grounding and stability, and that’s exactly what makes the anklet special: worn at the level of the foot, it no longer just symbolises grounding, it accompanies it physically, literally where the body touches the ground.
This wasn’t a format I made from the start, an anklet called for a longer cord, a different elasticity, a bead count reworked so it wouldn’t slip off or pinch. The result is a light piece you forget you’re wearing all day, barefoot in summer or discreetly under a trouser hem any time of year.
In crystal healing, black obsidian is said to absorb tension and shield against whatever throws you off balance. Worn at the ankle rather than the wrist, some credit it with a more direct effect on grounding and bodily presence, useful in meditation and yoga practices, or simply during periods when you feel too “in your head.”

Every bracelet is assembled by hand in my workshop, in France. The anklet format calls for different calibration than a wrist piece: more beads, a more generous stretch to get over the heel, but enough snugness that it won’t slip while walking. I adjusted this stringing several times before I was happy with the result.
This is one of the pieces I most enjoy making in summer, when my customers start asking for “something for bare feet.” The idea that grounding can be worn literally closest to the ground has always felt right to me, almost obvious, once you think about it. Discover the story of the workshop.
“Grounding isn’t just a figure of speech. Wearing it at the ankle brings it closer to the ground, for real.”, Camille
Care: a soft cloth is all it takes; avoid salt, knocks, sand and prolonged water, take it off before swimming, showering or exercising. To find your size, check the size guide, and all my care tips are in the cleaning guide.
