Description
The black obsidian women’s pendant, a small faceted stone designed to layer rather than dominate, finer than my classic unisex stone, cut with clean angles that catch the light differently. Handmade with natural stones, it’s the one you choose when you already wear several delicate pieces and want to add obsidian without breaking that balance.
The difference from my unisex pendant comes down to precise details, but they change the whole look: a smaller stone, faceted rather than polished as a free-form pebble, and a thinner thread to stay discreet under several fine chains. This format isn’t for those who want a single bold stone, but for those who like to layer, stack, and combine.
Black obsidian keeps its full density here despite its reduced size, it’s a volcanic rock, a natural glass born of cooling too fast to crystallise, whose deep colour and ability to catch light don’t depend on the pendant’s format. A small, well-cut stone draws the eye as much as a large raw one, just differently.
In crystal healing, black obsidian is associated with the root chakra and grounding. Tradition doesn’t credit a small stone with less action than a large one, what matters, in this approach, is the regularity of wear, not the volume of material. It’s an everyday piece, worn without even thinking about it, under a jumper or over a dress.

Handcrafted by Camille
Every pendant is assembled by hand in my workshop, in France. For this format, I select smaller but more worked stones, a facet that catches the light makes up for the reduced size. It’s a different exercise from my larger pieces: less material, but more demanding cutting.
I designed this pendant for those who already wear fine chains every day and wanted to add obsidian without breaking that balance. It layers well, it never overpowers. Discover the story of the workshop, or my whole collection of obsidian pendants.
“People often ask me for an obsidian pendant that ‘doesn’t do too much.’ This is exactly that one, the stone is there, but it blends into the rest.”, Camille
Care: a soft cloth is all it takes; avoid salt, knocks, perfume and prolonged water, and take it off before showering or exercising. All my tips are in the cleaning guide.
