Description

The 7 chakras black obsidian bracelet, seven stones for seven energy centres, from the base of the spine to the crown of the head, each chakra has its colour, its function, its stone. Black obsidian holds the founding role here: the root chakra, the base everything else rests on. Handcrafted from natural stones, this is the one you wear for complete balance, from the ground all the way up.

The chakra system, rooted in Indian traditions, describes seven energy centres spread along the body, each linked to a colour and a function: from the red of grounding at the base to the violet of consciousness at the crown of the head. Crystal healing traditionally pairs a stone with each chakra, chosen for its colour and its properties believed to correspond to that energy.

On this bracelet, black obsidian takes the place of the root chakra (Muladhara), the first, the one of grounding, safety and material stability. It’s a fitting choice: among all the black stones, obsidian is one of the most associated with this role, known for its ability to pull you back to the concrete and shield against outside tension. The six other stones complete the ascent: carnelian (sacral), citrine (solar plexus), aventurine (heart), sodalite (throat), lapis lazuli (third eye) and amethyst (crown).

Worn on the wrist, this bracelet isn’t meant to “work” each chakra in isolation, it’s more of a visual and symbolic reminder of the whole system, from the sturdiest base (obsidian) to the most subtle opening (amethyst). Many wear it during meditation practice, or simply as a piece of jewellery that sums up an intention of overall balance.

Camille, founder of Bijoux Obsidienne, crafting a 7 chakras obsidian bracelet in her workshop in France

Handcrafted by Camille

Every bracelet is assembled by hand in my workshop, in France. The 7 chakras bracelet is the one that demands the most precision to string: seven different stones, in the right order, evenly distributed, nothing can be left to chance, the order of colours has a meaning.

This is a bracelet I wanted to build around obsidian rather than treat as just one stone among seven. It leads the way, it carries the base. I love the idea that a single piece of jewellery can sum up an entire system on one wrist. Discover the story of the workshop, or my complete guide to obsidian and chakras.

“Seven stones, seven functions, one bracelet. I love the idea that it all starts with obsidian, the sturdiest base, before building up toward the rest.”, Camille

Care: a soft cloth is all it takes; avoid salt, knocks and prolonged water, and take it off before showering or exercising. All my care tips are in the cleaning guide.

Here are the seven chakras and their associated stones on this bracelet — these correspondences come from traditions and beliefs, and should be taken as such.

Root — Obsidian

Muladhara — grounding, safety, material stability.

The base of the system, and of this bracelet.

Sacral — Carnelian

Svadhisthana — creativity, emotions, joy of living.

Solar Plexus — Citrine

Manipura — self-confidence, willpower, action.

Heart — Aventurine

Anahata — love, compassion, openness to others.

Throat — Sodalite

Vishuddha — expression, communication, truth.

Third Eye & Crown — Lapis Lazuli & Amethyst

Ajna and Sahasrara — intuition, mental clarity and expanded awareness, at the top of the system.

A reminder: these correspondences belong to crystal healing, a wellness approach based on traditions and beliefs. They are not medical claims and never replace the advice of a healthcare professional.

Caring for your obsidian

To keep your piece looking its best, a soft cloth is usually all you need. Avoid salt, harsh products and knocks, and take it off before the shower, the beach, the pool or the gym.

In crystal healing, many people also like to cleanse and charge their stone from time to time, with smoke, under moonlight, or on a quartz cluster.
