The dragon appears in nearly every mythology, but wears very different faces depending on the culture, a creature to be slain in the West, a wise, protective guardian across East Asia. It’s this second reading that dominates in symbolic jewellery, the dragon as protector, associated with strength, accumulated wisdom, and mastery over the elements, fire above all.
Carved into black obsidian, this symbol takes on a particular depth. Obsidian is itself a material born of fire, volcanic lava cooled so fast it never had time to crystallise. Pairing the dragon, a creature of fire in many traditions, with a stone literally born from an eruption creates a rare coherence between the symbol and the material carrying it.

Handcrafted by Camille
Every necklace is assembled by hand in my workshop, in France. The Dragon pendant is one of the most demanding to check: the scales, the curve of the body, the facial details all have to stay crisp on a stone that doesn’t forgive a hesitant hand. I inspect every piece before it leaves the workshop.
